You must be thinking I am crazy for throwing make up. All the girls in the world love their make up but let me tell you something. If you have skin issues like sensitive skin, allergies and so on, then this is something to consider. I recently downloaded this app, which I referred to while reading online.

The Batch Code in this is so helpful. I mean who would have thought that makeup could ever expire. According to an online survey, the average women will spend about $15,000 in her lifetime on makeup. If it’s necessary, then it’s good but if it keeps adding up to the big stack that we already have, then we should consider a. to reduce the clutter and b. to spend wisely on makeup. By the way, even your regular shampoos, body and skin creams, and perfumes will add to the list. Below was all the makeup I discarded when I did the coding.

Some, yes, just some of the makeup which is shown here that I decided to discard after the declutter

All the creams and skin care that I had to let go of..

The perfumes which I let go of..

And this is the total stack of makeup, creams, etc. that I decided to let go after doing the decluttering.

All of the makeup, creams, perfumes that I let go of after decluterring

So, if you decide to ever buy new cream or you are thinking about the clearing up the stack, then consider the below statistics.

Who said organizing is boring? Thank you Marie Kondo for making organizing so much fun. And it’s not just the usual stationery or the clothes or things that you would normally organize. Anything that you have stored and needs a little bit of perk, then do think about it. It’s a little bit of change and a lot of fun too!

In this post, I wanted to highlight something that I would have not otherwise thought that I would organize – my linen drawer. My bed is customized with drawers below where I put all my linen and also cushions that I place in the other drawers. I have put both the Before and After images for you to decide which one looks better and also which one according to you is more practical. The After image is my favorite as I can now store more linen and it’s more organized in the sense, I can find what I am looking for. The pillow covers are folded and placed inside the bed cover which is then folded and made to stand up and the result is what you see in the After image.

From linen drawers to lingerie to books, you can organize everything, which will help you to plan your space properly and save time looking for it.

Do watch this space, as this is just the first of my organizing post on my blog.

Konmari's Book - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

This week, I read a very interesting article on Houzz talking about how to declutter your house. Diwali and Christmas is around the corner and most of you have already gotten into the spring cleaning mode. I completely believe in the Konmari way of decluttering; you might even want to look up Marie Kondo while you are searching online. She has also come up with a fantastic book which explains it all. The book is called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up; this is available in many book stores across the city and all over the world.

Many of you might get overwhelmed at the idea of cleaning or decluttering. There is a difference between the two, just so you know. Of course, you can call in an expert to assist you with the same but there are the others who want perfection and who want to do things their way. Have a read on the article below and I am sure you will gather some trips and tricks which will help you get more organised and keep everything in place down the way.
